i'm converted....

I never considered myself a baseball fan..... i never had a reason to like baseball before, and i never understood how people could sit around and watch a baseball game on tv. However, I've always liked playing it - i played softball during my junior high years, the positions of catcher and short stop. and i wasn't bad.... but i always thought it was so boring to watch! i've been to a few baseball games - 2 cubs games within the last two years, and the first game i went to was to a Sox game at old Comiskey when i was little. and yes, they are more exciting to watch when you're actually there.... but after this chicago white sox run - i'm converted. it's been FABULOUS to watch. I watched every game of the play-offs, i've never watched so much baseball in my life! and yes, it's a much slower sport than football or basketball, but watching these last few weeks reminded me that although it's a little more laid-back, just watching it you can get that feel of what it's like to play. it may be the sport that makes you most feel like you're in the game...

and it's been so awesome to have a team to cheer....
