The chronic... what? cles of Narnia!

i saw the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe on friday night. despite hearing rumors of it being unorganized and overdone, i thought it was fabulous. i didn't want it to end.... they really did an awesome job of making you feel like you were right there in this magical world, and although it was slightly crammed.... you got a sense of the relationship between the brothers and sisters.... and how the oldest was struggling to be a grown-up, whereas the the youngest just wanted to be taken seriously, even when talking about things that were make-believe. (boy can i relate to that!)
and of course the scenery and 'special effects' were amazing. majestic mountains... glittering forests of snow.... and the creatures and animals were done so that they really did look real. (it's amazing how far technology has come) but above all the "ooh and ahh" feeling of just the visual, what really catches you is the story. it felt so emotional and personal.... it's weird to sit in a theater of people and feel like something is just for you. i truly felt i was there, and during the 'sacrifice' scene i seriously wanted to just sob. weep. to see the visual the way lewis wrote it really pierces you. but that's how it was. i can't even describe it really. it's just magic... i would definitely recommend it, and i would definitely see it again.
anyway, off-sides..... if you haven't seen this snl skit... it's hilarious.
