how i met 'how i met your mother's lily
i like tv shows that have actors from previous shows that were on, or movies, etc. it just seems like you know them a little bit, in some ways makes them more believable. or, i suppose it feels like maybe the old show you used to watch didn't really go away completely, because you can still see some of the same faces.... and on the shows i watch right now, there are a surprsingly large number of them!!! i'll run through a little list here: (i apologize to the actors in advance for any mispellings of their names)
.how i met your mother:
alyson hannigan - was Willow on Buffy for 7 years
neil patrick harris - yeah, i'm not even gonna go there....

heroes:
the girl who plays nicki was also in legally blonde.
the girl who plays the cheerleader was in raising helen.
.
lost:
dominic monaghan - was a hobbit in lord of the rings
emilie de raven, the girl who plays claire - was also on the show Roswell
the guy who play jin used to be on angel
.
desperate housewives:
teri hatcher was of course on Lois and Clark
eva longoria had a role for 2 years on the soap i watch y&r
doug savant used to be on melrose place

then there's grey's anatomy:
sandra oh was in the princess diaries as the vice-principal
the guy who plays alex was in the wedding planner with jennifer lopez
patrick dempsey was in sweet home alabama
kate walsh had a cameo in bewitched
and katherine heigl, who now plays Isobel Stevens, used to be on Roswell, as Isabelle Evans. woah............

Grey's Anatomy-
Ellen Pompeo from was Luke Wilson's girlfriend in Old School.
Sandra O was also in Sideways.
Katherine Heigl was the daughter in My father the hero (came out in like 10 years ago).
Desperate Housewives
Mrs. McLusky played Mrs. Landingham on my favorite show, The West Wing!!
The little guys that play the twins were in Cheaper by the Dozen.
the guy who played Rex played the Speaker of the House on The West Wing.
Okay, that's enough! I'm sure I could think of some more though.

i thought of a couple more. The guy that plays Susan's new love interest, Ian was Prince Henry in one of my favorite movies, Ever After (with Drew Barrymore)! And Orson was Trey (Charlotte's first husband with the sexual dysfunction and mother issues) on Sex in the City!
