what to do?
i am, by nature, a planner. i like organization, i like knowing what’s going on, and i like having an idea of what’s down the road. not to say that i don’t enjoy (pleasant) surprises, but i like to have a general path that i’m on. and up through college, it was all pretty much a no-brainer. lately though it seems everything is up in the air. i did the whole “be a grown-up and move out thing” and thought i was set for a while. then (as previously mentioned) found out i was going to have to move out at the end of october. (i found this out right before christmas- thanks santie!) after accepting that so that i wasn’t bitter every (waking) moment i was in my apartment, i started on a new plan.... which was basically to give chicagoland until the end of the summer to provide me with new options. and if not – then i would make a serious move. serious, as in, BIG. to otherwheres.... ok, seemed like a good plan (in, that, i didn’t have to figure anything out at the moment). well, this week, i’ve been getting calls from the landlords that be asking if i want to move out early. (they pretend this is out of concern that i may find the noise of remodeling annoying, but just be honest people – ya want me outta there so you can sell yer damn condo faster) but then, now what? it’s thrown a wrench at my plan.... do i stay as previously planned? do i try to go somewhere else now? do i dare even entertain the thought of living at my parents house again for a month or two to save some dough so that i can move to otherwheres more comfortably? i just don’t know, and it’s driving me nuts.

first and foremost, get a new job!! even if you have to move in with your parents for a little while (it's not that bad, trust me, i know) anything is better than staying at this hell hole any longer. i wish i had the option to move far, far away. i vote san diego. it's beautiful there all the time, and i can come visit you!!-Jenny
I think you should just book a plane ticket to seattle for sunday Aug. 21st and take a road trip with a geo-sista... ;)
Hope to talk to you soon, Swany!
