winter wonderland

as you may have noticed..... i'm a little behind on blogs these days. i have quite a few pictures to post, the first set was taken during a snow event a week or two ago. it was very localized- we got about 8 inches of snow but chicago got only 1.5. and becuase temperatures have been so warm lately, within 2-3 days it was gone. and while i'm not one for cold weather (give me florida and the beach any day), there is something magical about a beautiful snowfall. and there are so many aspects to snow- it can light and playful, if you will, or icy and serene. or, in the case of a blizzard, terrifying and dangerous. anway, these are my pics, with a special appearance by my dog jack.
